Order and Payments

What are the accepted methods of payment?

Currently, this Intel web site accepts payment via third-party service: PayPal. These were chosen because they work especially well for customers using payment cards that were issued from outside the U.S. We do not accept cash, checks, money orders or purchase orders.

Why is there a handling fee?

This nominal fee is per order, and helps avoid charging more for shipping and thereby penalizing customers who receive product from multiple warehouses.

Do I have to pay customs fees and import duties?

Yes, if these are required by the ship-to destination country. If customs fees, duties or taxes are levied once a shipment reaches your country, you are responsible to pay these. Such additional charges are not calculated as part of the payment made to Intel and we have no control over these charges nor can we predict what they may be. Customs policies vary widely from country to country; you should contact your local customs office for further information.

Will I be charged sales tax for my order?

Sales tax is based on the ship-to address for orders. It is charged in those states with a sales tax and in which Intel Americas, Inc. has a physical presence. Some states with a sales tax do not have an Intel location, so the sales tax is not assessed. (We currently do not charge sales tax in the following states: AK, DE, DC, LA, ME, MT, NV, NH, ND, OR, RI, VT, WV, and WY.)

How can I avoid paying sales tax?

If you are a tax exempt customer, contact Intel RealSense Store Customer Support.

How can a reseller place a tax exempt order?

After creating an account, contact Intel RealSense Store Customer Support with your tax-exempt reseller certificate or number. Once verified, your account will be converted to a reseller account. Future orders will be exempt from sales tax.

When is my credit card charged?

The exact timing is not in our control, rather it is controlled by the PayPal service. Generally, you should expect to be charged within one business day of the e-commerce transaction, and probably much sooner.

Does Intel meet or beat competitive prices?

No. Prices for products are as listed.

What if a price drops before I receive my order?

If a price drops while your order is awaiting shipment, Intel will credit your card for the difference between the two prices. If the price increases, for the current order, we will honor the original price at the time you placed your order.

How to calculate shipping charges?

Shipping charges are displayed during order review. Shipping upgrades are available if you would like to receive your products faster. Additional shipping fees apply to these faster delivery services.

How will you ship my order?

We use a variety of shippers, such as FedEx, DHL, UPS. These are shown as options when you are checking out. Shipping options will be displayed during order review. Shipping upgrades are available if you would like to receive your products faster.

How long does it take to process my order?

Most orders are processed within 1 business day, and your order should ship within 48 business hours if all items are in stock.

How long will it take my order to arrive?

Orders placed on our website ship from our warehouse within two business days—we do not ship on weekends or holidays. If the ship-to destination is within the U.S. and you choose the standard shipping option, it may take your order one to seven business days to arrive at your doorstep after leaving our warehouse. Standard delivery time may vary depending on your location. Second-day shipments will arrive more quickly. Orders sent to destinations outside the U.S. will arrive within three to fifteen business days after leaving our warehouse.

How do I track my order?

Instructions on order tracing are included in an email that will be sent to you when your order ships.

Will you split up my order if there are items not currently available?

Yes, we may split your order. We will make every effort to ship your complete order at one time. However, on occasion, some items in our store may be temporarily out of stock. If you have ordered multiple items with different availability, we will ship in-stock items immediately and hold the balance of your order. Backordered items will ship as soon as they are available. Splitting up your order will in no way increase the cost of shipping to you.

To what countries can I ship my order?

Intel can accept orders for shipment to over 70 countries.

 

Returns

What products can not be returned?

Intel does not accept the return of software that has been opened, nor do we accept returns of desktop board or processor parts, networking parts, server processor parts.

What if I need to return an item because I am not satisfied with the product?

Intel will accept the return of any item in good condition within 30 days of ship date, with the exception of software that has been opened, nor do we accept returns of desktop board or processor parts, networking parts, server processor parts.

 

Account Management and Website Use

How long does my password need to be? Any other requirements of the password?

Is it safe for me to order over the Internet?

YES! Our website uses the latest 128-bit encryption technology to protect your personal information. When your order is sent over the Internet it is shielded by encryption technology and is safeguarded by our privacy policy. As a result, orders placed on this Website are comparatively safer than purchases made through retail stores or mail order.

Are the parts sold new?

Yes, all product sold on this site are new and have never been used.

How do I get technical support for the products I order?
